Love project, 2014
3d printed PLA, sensing devices, electronics, digital code
The Love Project investigates emotional sustainability by imbuing everyday objects with affective memories. Participants are invited to record a love story through voice, while an interface translates their physiological responses into data. Using generative design techniques, the interface translates the capture data into 3d-printed objects. The project suggests a future in which unique products will bear personal histories in order to encourage longer life cycles of such artefacts, thus inherently combining tacit emotional memories with sustainable design.
