Luiz Zanotello is an artist, researcher, and educator based in Berlin. He builds machines, algorithmic systems, and installations exploring how technology mediates time, distance, and environment. By translating otherwise imperceptible phenomena into tangible kinetic operations, his practice reappropriates the ways machines sense, measure, and imagine the world.

A machine scans the world's weather cameras in real time from where it stands, giving more screen time to places the climate network barely sees in the distance.
A habitat of recognition
A machine reads an ore of sand and iron by eroding it layer by layer, as another writes its measurements back into a sedimented landscape.

A kinetic installation measures the airflow in a room and turns it into the shifting motion of a network of nodes and lines.
